Valentine's Week

Aunt D is working wonders in our kitchen! She pulls out recipes that I've printed off but never made and makes them! Here are the veggie tamales she made that were AMAZING. If I ever get around to another post on the veggie blog this will be the first one  up.

Family Home Evening this week was about the Christlike attribute charity and love. We hid hearts around the living room that had ways we could develop charity on them and had the girls find them. Then we did a special activity to decorate/write notes on hearts for some dear friends who are going through a tough time.

Playing school with Aunt D.

Aunt D helped the girls make Valentine's cookies.

Today we started the day with pink heart pancakes.

Then we put on outfits that consisted of pink and purple. Baby Beluga can say "stylish."

Caught her just as she jumped off the couch to play some more.

Dance party!

Baby Beluga was mimicking Big Sis rocking her baby back and forth.

This is what we do...a lot.

We had a day of fun surprises. We had heart notes dangling from the girls' bedroom doors (and Aunt D's door too!), special notes for each other, Handsome bought us all flowers, and and the girls made Handsome special love bugs. Aunt D surprised the girls with string cheese...cause they LOVE cheese, and bought us raspberries.

And the biggest surprise of all...I thought Aunt D was busy in the kitchen making heart shaped pizzas for dinner, and then Handsome came home and slipped into the kitchen and set up Chinese food. I was so surprised when I walked in the kitchen! Aunt D had even turned on the mixer, and opened cupboards to make me think she was doing stuff in the kitchen. It was awesome and super easy dinner clean up.

After dinner, our Valentine's tradition is to give each child a new book and then we open a new game for the whole family.

Baby Beluga got a book called "Your Getting a Baby Brother" and Big Sis got "Ladybug Girl at the Beach."

It was a great Valentine's Day!

My St. Patrick's Day Birthday

I love having a birthday on St. Patrick's Day.
I love my family even more, because they are the ones who make it so special.

This is what I woke up to this morning.

My very own rainbow and pot o' gold!
Best birthday surprise EVER!

Good morning Baby Beluga!
This is Little Sis' new blog nickname...inspired by the adorable noises she makes.

Handsome made me bacon for breakfast. I love bacon. I don't buy it very often. Did you know, I used to count the bacon as a kid, to make sure everyone got a fair share. I know...a little weird, but that's what you do when you love bacon. (P.S. I don't count it anymore.)

All ready for church, decked out in green shamrock skirts.

Big Sis picked out her own hair clips today.
A pink flower, pink bow, and 2 purple bows.

Handsome and Aunt M collaborated on the rainbow and these delicious cupcakes. Chocolate with Andes mint chips mixed in. Frosted with chocolate frosting, topped with a mint oreo, and drizzled with melted Andes mint chips. YUM!

And we ended the night in green pjs.
