Day Tripper

We took a little day trip a few weeks ago to lovely Historic Gruene during their Christmas Market Days. We saw these wind chimes which are the largest I think I've ever seen!

Then we headed over for a picnic at the oh-so-wonderful Landa Park. Best playground ever. 3 large sets all right next to each other, 2 sets of swings, lots of trees for shade....lovely.

 The big kid see-saw.

Right as Handsome was about to help Big Sis do this slider toy, he started to walk and some little boy came running out of nowhere and bumped into Handsome's leg and fell over. It was hilarious to watch, but the kid just laid there whimpering and wouldn't say anything when we asked if he was ok, and no parent came over to get him...and then I felt kinda bad for chuckling. He finally got up and moved out of the way and he was fine.

Big Sis did this rock wall all by herself!

Then we took a ride on the train! The whole time we had been playing Big Sis had kept mentioning it. It took us all over the park.

When I hopped out to take the picture Big Sis was a bit distraught that I had gotten off the train (see picture on the left). Then with Handsome's prompting, showed me the sign for train.

We got to sit right in front!

Before the ride began we had a brief conversation with the conductor and found out he was a Latter-Day Saint too! He let Big Sis sit on his seat after the ride was over.

On the way out of town we stopped at Dairy Queen for some cool treats (and fries for Mama). Big Sis was excited for a taste of Dad's blizzard, but wouldn't give him a lick of her cone.

And I taught her how to dip fries into ice-cream.

Cookies, Sitting, and Sisters

Eating some delicious Sweet Potato Cookies.

Little Sis is practicing her sitting!

Big sis was sharing her blanket. She kept tucking her in. It was quite adorable.
