August

All 3 kids have been able to wear these adorable pjs. Sadly it's just too hot so Mancub has only worn them once, and it was because Big Sis had picked them out and insisted that he wear them. I'm glad she did cause they are one of my favorites.

This is how we play Trouble at our house.

Bean Bean picked out her own outfit. And she is wearing a baby bib from our baby doll stuff as a cape. It's hilarious and adorable.

Put'em up Mr. Giraffe.

Making a birthday message for Aunt D. Sidewalk chalk is super dark and very fun to write with when you get it wet.

Balancing.

Bean Bean's stack of books: The Federalist Papers, Superfudge, and He Restoreth My Soul.

Happy birthday Aunt D!
Her ice-cream pie was cookie dough ice-cream with a cookie dough crust. Yummy!

Sometimes it's just fun to play in your pjs.

We love to see the temple! What a wonderful place, even just on the outside. So peaceful. So clean. So beautiful. It truly is the Lord's house.

It was even Big Sis' idea to wear our skirts and dresses!

I was hoping for a shot like the one above with all the kids, but alas, I have short arms and that's just tough to do with 3 kids!

Big Sis has been interested in taking pictures...here are a few of her best ones.

Minnesota

In July, Handsome and I went to Minnesota for his 10 year high school reunion. It was a whirlwind trip and our first time away from the girls.

East High, Class of 2004!

We took this rabbit picture for the girls. As we were leaving the reunion we saw 2 wild rabbits and knew the girls would love to see them.

As great as seeing old classmates was, I think the highlight of our trip was Sunday. We got to go to church in his old ward and I loved hearing their memories of Handsome and his family.

Then we drove around the town and Handsome reminisced.

His fabulous neighbor who had the most beautiful garden I've ever seen!

His old house.

His high school.

This was my first time in Minnesota, and I was amazed at how green and beautiful it was.

The convention center where Grampa M used to work.

One of my favorite book series, The Betsy-Tacy books, are based out of little Mankato, Minnesota. So we stopped by Betsy's house and Tacy's house, and I sat on the bench that they would sit on as little girls in the early 1900's.

Handsome was very excited to visit and have dinner with some family friends. This was Handsome's youth Sunday school teacher, Sister W., along with her son and one of Handsome's other friends.

There were some really beautiful houses with amazing porches.

Handsome was also very excited to see his old young men's leader, Brother P.

I also loved seeing all the corn fields and farms.

We got to eat at ToKen BBQ, one of the top BBQ restaurants in Minnesota. It happens to be owned by a friend of the family.

Eating the most delicious skillet breakfasts we've ever had, plus some cinnamon french toast. Delicious!

And our last visit was with A and his mom.

We will miss you Minnesota!
